1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They help websites function correctly, improve performance, remember preferences, and provide insights into how visitors interact with the site. We also use similar technologies such as pixels, tags, scripts and browser storage for comparable purposes; this policy refers to all of them as “cookies”.

2. How We Use Cookies

We use cookies for the following purposes:

  • Strictly necessary cookies – required for the operation of our website, cart and checkout (set by Shopify, our store platform)
  • Analytics and performance cookies – to understand how visitors use our website, including our own first-party analytics (Simify Track) and third-party tools
  • Optimisation and experimentation cookies – to test features, layouts, and content
  • Attribution cookies – to recognise which campaign, link or referring partner brought you to us, so we can measure our marketing and pay partners who refer customers
  • Personalisation cookies – to improve user experience

3. Consent and Regional Requirements

The way cookies are deployed depends on the laws applicable in your country or region.

  • In regions where consent is required by law (such as the United Kingdom and the European Union), non-essential cookies are only activated after you provide explicit consent via our cookie consent banner.
  • In regions where consent is not legally required (such as Australia), certain analytics and optimisation cookies may be enabled by default in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

Our own analytics (Simify Track) follows the same rule: where consent is required, it stores nothing on your device and sends no data until you accept analytics. If you later withdraw consent, it removes its identifiers from your device and we delete the browsing data collected under them.

4. Analytics, Optimisation & Experimentation Cookies

Simify Track (first-party). Our own analytics system uses one cookie and two browser storage entries, all set by simify.com itself:

_st_sess Session storage A random session identifier, the time of your last activity, and the campaign or link that started the visit (utm_* parameters and, for Simify short links, the link click identifier). Until the browser tab is closed or 30 minutes of inactivity

Simify Track records which pages, products, collections, cart and checkout steps you interact with, the currency shown, the campaign that brought you to us, and your country (derived from your IP address at the time and then discarded). It does not record your IP address, browser user-agent string, name, email or payment details. Browsing events are deleted after 60 days and session summaries after 15 months.

Third-party tools. We use VWO (Visual Website Optimizer) to:

  • Conduct A/B testing and experimentation
  • Analyse website usage and performance
  • Generate heatmaps
  • Record anonymised user sessions

These cookies collect information such as pages visited, clicks, scroll behaviour, session duration, device type, browser information, and anonymised identifiers used to assign visitors to test variations. They do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information.

Where required by law, all of the above are activated only after consent is obtained. In other regions, they may be enabled based on our legitimate interests in improving website performance and user experience. 4A. Attribution & Partner Cookies

Simify short links (link.simify.com). Opening a Simify short link sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. The link adds a random link click identifier (sl_cid) and campaign parameters to the address of the page you land on; Simify Track then keeps them for the visit as described above, only where you have accepted analytics.

Affiliate partners (impact.com). When you arrive from a link shared by one of our affiliate partners, impact.com's tracking on our website sets a cookie containing the partner's click identifier so the partner can be credited if you make a purchase. This is a marketing cookie: where consent is required by law it is set only after you accept marketing cookies. Duration: up to 30 days. See impact.com's privacy policy.

AppsFlyer, which we use for app-install attribution, does not set cookies on our website; it operates only inside the Simify app, as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Managing Cookies

You can change your cookie choices at any time by clicking here to manage cookie preferences. Withdrawing analytics consent removes Simify Track's identifiers from your device and we delete the browsing data collected under them; withdrawing marketing consent stops attribution cookies from being set.

You can also control cookies by:

  • Adjusting your browser settings to block or delete cookies
  • Enabling “Do Not Track” or similar privacy signals where supported

Please note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent the cart and checkout from working.

6. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies are placed by third-party service providers that assist us with analytics, optimisation, performance measurement or partner attribution. These providers process data in accordance with their own privacy policies:
